Introduction to Handguns

This is not an LTC class. This class was created for individuals who:

  1. Have never shot a handgun before.

  2. Are afraid of handguns.

  3. Need a refresher on handgun safety.

  4. Are not confident yet to qualify for their license to carry (LTC).

This is a two-part class. The first part will be in a classroom setting and the second part will be at the range. The pace of this class is slow to accommodate everyone. There is no live ammunition in the classroom for the safety of every student and the location, to remove any worry from being comfortable in the learning environment. You are encouraged to bring your own handgun if you have one. If you do not, you can borrow mine for the day. Further instructions on properly transporting your gun to class will be provided in an email after you sign up.

 

At the end of class, you will be able to identify the three rules of safe gun handling, load and unload your handgun, and properly/confidently discharge your handgun on the range.
